Palujan Arts — Conceptual Jewellery Still Life Photography

Conceptual still life photography
and art direction for Palujan Arts — an independent jewellery
designer whose work sits closer to wearable sculpture than
conventional jewellery.

The brief called for imagery that matched that positioning:
not product photography in the standard sense, but a visual
context where each piece could be read as an object in its
own right. Sets were designed with minimal, tactile elements —
raw surfaces, geometric forms, deliberate negative space —
to create an environment that amplifies material and
silhouette without competing with them. Lighting was kept
soft and directional to preserve the handcrafted surface
quality of each piece.

On this project the photographer’s role extended to full
art direction and creative concept — the kind of
commercial still life work where visual strategy is developed alongside
the shoot, not handed down from a separate creative team.
